Cold Gas Thruster Competition

Background

The Cold Gas Thruster Compeition is one of our exciting intro project for new memebers! Students learn how to design their own thrusters to a set of objectives and constraints, with the final aim of testing their designs. The winner is judged based on a combination of the best thrust, efficiency, mass, and how close the experimental thrust matches the student's predicted value. Competetors learn about fluid dyanmics, Solidworks modeling and simulation, 3D printing, and general manufacturing.
